SUSTAINABLE DESIGN EXPLORATION – HOME AND FASHION - WHERE DESIGN MARRIES BUSINESS

THESE TEXTILE EXPLORATIONS ARE DESIGNED FOR STUDENTS OF DESIGN PROGRAMS AND NEW DESIGNERS
Based on the current needs of the design industry to focus on sustainable materials, we have created a program geared towards Design Students in Home and Fashion and new Designers. This program will allow them to explore and make sourcing and production contacts in India in the space of sustainable materials, primarily focusing on some relevant handwoven/handcrafted textiles.
The participants will enjoy an immersive and productive experience in the guidance of Mitun. With her long experience working with artisans in India, I will help the Students navigate the complex terms, challenges, cultural differences and constraints of working with artisans in India, especially, in some unexplored regions that hold a treasure trove of offerings in textiles.
